There are millions of cooking books already on the market and there are many more to come, but despite their topic pretty much all of them have the same look and wording. So how do you create a cooking book that stands out of the shelf and offers a whole new experience?
The idea behind this vegetarian cooking book is to create a whole new cooking experience. So I created a style of my own which is distinct from traditional cookbooks, namely as a step-by-step instruction. Every step is written down with as little words as possible and connected with arrows.
Also to loosen up the pretty technical step-by-step instruction I illustrated as many words/items of the recipes as possible by myself.
The typo mix I created also reveals a technical and passionate mix that fits well into the design of the page. Also it was very important to me to create a colorful page that transfers the fun of cooking.
